The company Nissan showed at the Auto Show in New York, the Altima sedan of the sixth generation. In the local market, car sales will begin this fall. The novelty will be offered in six versions (S, SR, SV, SL and Platinum). The prices for the car will be named later. The rivals of the novelty are Chevrolet Malibu, Honda Accord, Hyundai Sonata, Subaru Outback and Toyota Camry.
The design of the sedan received features of the Vmotion 2 concept, which was presented in early 2017 at the Auto Show in Detroit. The model has grown a little bit in size and has become more spacious. The coefficient of aerodynamic resistance is 0.26. Sedan received LED optics, 19-inch wheels, new headlamps in the form of boomerangs and radiator grille V-motion.
Inside the car there are 8.0-inch touchscreen display, a multimedia system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, special seats that were developed in conjunction with NASA specialists. New equipped with proprietary ProPilot Assist, which is currently installed on crossovers Rogue / X-Trail and electric cars Leaf. Electronics is able to independently hold the car in the lane, controlling the steering, accelerator and brake. At the same time, the driver must keep his hands on the handlebar all the time.
In the engine range of new items included a 2.5-liter gasoline engine with four cylinders. The power of the unit is 190 hp. Also, customers will be offered a 2.0-liter engine with a payback of 250 hp. The engines work in conjunction with the continuously variable transmission CVT and the front drive system.
