New Nissan 400Z could get an electric motorJuly 18, 2020
The truth in what form we will see the electrical component is still unknown. Nissan representatives continue to keep the information secret.
The new sports car Nissan 400Z can get a motor with an electric component. Such information was shared by one of the vice-presidents of Nissan, Ivan Espinoza. Since the information comes from one of the managers, it can be assumed that such a version is not only at the development stage, but already at the test stage.
Initially it was assumed that under the hood of the Nissan 400Z there will be a 3.0-liter engine with two turbines and a power of more than 400 hp. True, in which version we will see the electrical component is currently unclear. It is possible that Nissan will rely on a 48-volt starter generator. In this case, the Nissan 400Z will be able to have even more frisky dynamics when starting from a standstill.
Perhaps we will witness PHEV technology, where an electric motor will be located on the front axle, and a classic internal combustion engine will work at the rear.
Most likely, all the details should be expected before the official premiere. At the moment, the presentation date is unknown – most likely, the new Nissan 400Z will be shown at the end of this year or early next year.
Earlier it became known that Nissan could cut production by almost a third. This measure is part of a new strategy for the brand to get out of the crisis due to the coronavirus epidemic. Nissan dealers record significant sales declines following the pandemic.
