New Mercedes-Maybach S-Class spotted during road testsOctober 24, 2020
The new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is in the testing phase, as confirmed by spy shots published by Carscoops.
That this is the Maybach flagship is indicated by the tailgate cutout, which is straighter than the standard S-Class model with the tailgate curving around the rear wheel arch due to its smaller size. It also lacks the third rear window that the base S-Class has.
As for the powertrain of the Maybach S-Class, it could keep the V12 engine, albeit with a hybrid system. The novelty, in particular, should acquire driver assistance systems, like the new S-Class model. In turn, the interior of the Maybach will be styled like the GLS with two rear seats separated by a large console at the rear and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster at the front, paired with a 12.8-inch OLED touchscreen display in the middle.
Speaking about the cost of the upcoming novelty, it is assumed that it will cost about $ 200,000. At the same time, the cost of the current Mercedes-Maybach S-Class starts at $ 170,000
In addition, it was recently noted that the electric crossover Mercedes-Benz EQS was noticed during road tests. It should be emphasized that the novelty of the German car manufacturer will be able to travel up to 700 km on a single charge.
