
New Mercedes-Benz E-Class officially unveiled

Today, details about the new Mercedes-Benz E-Calss 2021 model year have become known. Previously, the German auto giant only shared teasers of new items on the eve of the Geneva Motor Show. From the exterior, we note a more massive grille, a stylish curved front bumper, as well as modified front headlights. At the rear of the car, the triangular headlights familiar to fans were replaced by horizontal ones. The manufacturer also added three additional exterior colors.
Of the technical innovations, we note the latest MBUX multimedia system with a large display. The digital dashboard received an updated graphical interface. Using them, you can control almost all systems of a car, and control is possible even with gestures. Customers will be offered a wide choice of interior design – Nappa, Artico leather and other premium designs are available from materials.
The motor range of the novelty turned out to be very wide. Gasoline engines will have power from 156 to 367 hp. accordingly, depending on the configuration, and diesel power units are capable of producing 160-330 hp
It will be possible to purchase an electrified engine based on a gasoline engine with four cylinders – due to the starter-generator, the car receives an additional 20 hp. For the first time in the history of the E-Class, a 3.0-liter gasoline engine will also be available, which also works with a starter generator.
A novelty was the OM656 diesel power unit, which independently controls the emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere. It is expected that in Europe the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class will appear in the middle of the year, and closer to the end of the year, the model will debut in coupe and convertible bodies.
