New Mercedes-AMG E63 passes tests at the NurburgringNovember 13, 2019
Two prototypes immediately went to test tests – a sedan and a station wagon in the back. The premiere of E-class cars is expected next year.
Mercedes-Benz specialists continue to actively work on preparing for the debut of the updated version of the Mercedes-AMG E63. On the eve of the web appeared images and videos of prototypes from tests on the Nurburgring race track. Two cars were brought to the track – a sedan and a station wagon. Both prototypes are hidden from prying eyes by a dense layer of camouflage. At the same time, some elements intended for the serial version have not yet been installed. This applies in particular to the Panamericana grille with vertical bars. But it was possible to make out headlights that are made with pointed edges. Changes in the rear of the car are more difficult to discern – twin exhaust pipes pay attention to themselves.
Photos of the interior of the car could not be obtained. Most likely, the new E63 will retain the 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 engine.
At the moment, its power is 603 hp. However, it is possible to slightly increase the return. The exact date of the premiere of the novelty is not yet known. According to preliminary information, the debut should take place next year. At the same time, by the end of 2020 the car should enter the markets of some countries.
