New Land Rover Defender test on the roads of IndiaMay 26, 2019
A photo of a camouflaged test prototype appeared on the Team-BHP DeClutch 4X4 forum. Road tests of the Defender were arranged by Tata Consultancy Services specialists – they monitor the performance of the components of the future novelty.
During a test drive in India, the photospies captured a new Land Rover Defender 2020 SUV. The picture was posted a couple of days ago on one of the automotive forums. The SUV was able to capture the photo under a good angle – the feed, the roof, and part of the hood of the test sample got into the frame. Land Rover Defender Corps has retained a clear square geometry, while the updated SUV received a high-set hood. Square windows, a straight roofline, embossed wheel arches and doors that are simple in design also add to strict brutality.
As previously reported, the new Defender will borrow the most successful design solutions from the “pre-reform” SUV, but its overall style will be completely new.
As for the modifications of the novelty, it is already known that this British SUV will be offered in two-door and four-door versions, like in the Jeep Wrangler. Experts do not exclude the appearance of Defender in the back of a pick-up. Also Defender 2020 tipped a rich set of useful options and additional equipment. Under the hood of such a car, according to one version, there will be four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines for two liters, as well as a hybrid power plant. On the conveyor of the new plant Jaguar Land Rover in Slovakia Land Rover Defender 2020 will rise at the beginning of next year.
