New Land Rover Defender starred in new James Bond movieNovember 13, 2019
In April, the SUV will join the Aston Martin Valhalla supercar in the movie “No Time to Die”
Land Rover has confirmed that the new Defender will play a major role in the next James Bond film. The latest release from a series of iconic secret agents will be shown in the UK on April 3, 2020 and will include a revived SUV participating in the traditional race car.
The exact nature of Defender’s role has yet to be confirmed, but Land Rover claims that the stunt team has led him to “the most extreme off-road conditions, demonstrating his unstoppable nature.” The video released by the company shows several Defender moving at speed along difficult off-road.
Defender, selected for the film, is a medium-sized model 110 that will arrive at UK dealerships earlier than shorter 90 and longer 130. It received an X-shaped finish and is equipped with additional equipment, including 20-inch black alloy wheels and heavy off-road tires.
The suggestion that Defender might appear in the movie It’s Not Time to Die was triggered by spy shots of the model on the set in August, a month before it was officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The SUV will appear next to the upcoming Ahal Martin Valhalla hypercar. The mid-engined hybrid is the latest in a long line of Aston models to be featured in Bond movies after past appearances from the DB5, DBS, Vanquish, V8 Vantage and DB10 models.
Land Rover also confirmed that its Range Rover Sport SVR will appear in the new film, along with a selection of historical models including the Series III and Range Rover Classic.
