New Land Rover Defender declassified in an exclusive renderMarch 1, 2019
The next generation SUV is exactly the thing in which traditions and new technologies should meet. The British brand is preparing to debut, and now we are given the opportunity to look at the preliminary images.
The successor to the legendary Land Rover Defender is already preparing for the debut. Unfortunately, we will have to wait for a debut of at least a couple of months, but independent designers and the portal Motor1 decided to reduce this time and create their own Defender. The experts have worked and presented a possible image of a two-door SUV.
It should be noted that with the change of generations, the SUV will become a completely new car. In addition to the new platform, modern technology will change the concept of the model itself. Judging by the words of the company, that they will expand the target audience, we can assume about the change of design in the direction of smoothing the “brutality”. It can be assumed that some details will be borrowed from other Land Rover models.
Judging by the picture, the car will still be associated with Defender, but will get the front part similar to the Range Rover and Discovery models. At the start of sales under the hood of the resurrected SUV should be a 2.0-liter turbodiesel, which later will join the hybrid transmission.
Experts expect that the market will feature a short-base three-door version, extended with five doors, as well as a modification in the back of a pickup truck.
