New KIA Stinger photographed without camouflageAugust 1, 2020
The 2021 model year car received major changes in terms of technical filling, but the exterior of the novelty was modernized quite a bit.
KIA is preparing to debut the updated KIA Stinger liftback. On Saturday, August 1, the car was spotted on the roads without a layer of camouflage film. Photos were shared by TheKoreanCarBlog. At the front, we note the appearance of two additional headlight units, and the taillights received a new pattern. In the center of the trunk, instead of the brand logo, the model name was applied, and the rear bumper was also slightly modernized.
A modern digital instrument panel will appear inside the car, and the infotainment complex will receive a 10.25-inch screen. The biggest changes will take place in the technical part of the car – both current engines will become unavailable, and new power units will take their place. The base engine will be a 2.5-liter T-GDI turbo engine capable of delivering 304 hp, and the maximum configuration will receive a 380-horsepower power unit. Both engines are used in the Genesis G80 premium sedan.
The lack of camouflage indicates the imminent presentation of the car – according to preliminary data, it may take place before the end of summer.
The appearance of the next generation KIA Stinger will largely depend on the success of sales – at the moment, many doubt the advisability of its development.
