New Kia Stinger GT spotted at the NurburgringMay 15, 2020
Despite the camouflage, the “charged” novelty will not receive drastic changes.
Kia Stinger GT is not so “old”, since it was first shown to the world in 2018, but the company decided to update it by 2021. Last week, the prototype of the model was first discovered in tests and now it has reached the Nurburgring, while the amount of camouflage is reduced, although it hides many of the subtle changes that we expect from Kia in the model.
Kia gives the Stinger GT a mid-cycle update, and camouflage is rather trying to confuse you, as there will be no significant changes. Kia is likely to give the headlights and taillights a new look, improving the design of the front and rear. It is possible that there will be recycled bumpers, revised air intakes and a modified look of the radiator grille.
Internal changes are probably more subtle. In the middle of the cycle, changes in the technical part rarely occur, rumors suggest that the 2021 Kia Stinger GT 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6, which is now developing 365 horsepower and 510 Newton meters of torque, will start to produce 380 hp. and 528 Nm.
An ordinary Stinger can get a new 2.5-liter turbocharged Hyundai, which develops 290 hp. One of the new features should be a variable exhaust system to adjust engine sound. In this case, the 8-speed transmission will be saved. Power will continue to go either to the rear wheels or to all four.
Inside, customers should expect even fewer changes, such as an infotainment screen, which will increase in size to 10.25 inches.
