It was his engineers KIA chosen for one of the tests. During one of the tests, the X5 was attached to a Sorento using a rigid coupling. On spy photos, despite the camouflage, it is clearly seen that the next generation of KIA Sorento will get more angular forms. It is difficult to guess the proportions, but experts are confident that the new generation of the crossover will become larger than the current model. According to preliminary forecasts, the generational change will have little effect on the Sorento motor range. Of the innovations, only the appearance of a “soft” hybrid. Also, the fourth generation Sorento will receive a rich list of modern security systems and driver assistants.
Production of new items will be adjusted only in August next year. The new KIA Sorento will be positioned as a 2021 model. Ford Explorer, Hyundai Santa Fe, Chevrolet Traverse and others from the mid-size segment are among the main rivals of the “refreshed” crossover.
