New Kia Rio breaks cover ahead of the official debut in ParisSeptember 1, 2016
New Kia Rio appeared in all its glory on the photos before its global debut at the Paris Motor Show later this month.
The photos show that in spite of all the new models, the car in 2017 will highlight the design of its predecessor with an aggressive nose and the back of a vertical angle. The car body was 5 mm wider and 15 mm longer, but dropped to 5 mm lower than the old Rio. The wheelbase grew by 10 mm.
Inside, new Rio is much prettier: the buttons of the old car had disappeared, and in their place appeared a touch screen with high resolution, which controls the audio, navigation and connected systems. A less cluttered design and use of high-gloss black metallic gives a solid view for interior.
Exact technical details have yet to be confirmed, but Kia representatives said that the new model in its class to offer customers the practicality, safety kit, and their last opportunity to connect to different systems.
The automaker did not say what engines will be presented in the new model, but are likely to be used by the updated version 1.25- and 1.4–liter petrol engine of the current car, as well as 1.1–liter diesel engine. 1.0–liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine would be new in a representation row, which can also be installed in the Picanto.
The new Kia Rio is officially debuts at the Paris Motor Show on 29 September. Production will begin later this year. Prices are likely to increase: The new starting price of about 15,121 USD.
