New Jaguar F-Type caught during testsJuly 14, 2019
Two test prototypes with different power plants were tested on the legendary Nürburgring. The company they made the new Chevrolet Corvette C8.
New Jaguar F-Type caught during the test races at the Nurburgring. The test pieces from prying eyes hid tight camouflage: on the track, two new Jaguar F-Type “trained” side by side with the Chevrolet Corvette C8. Video from this test drive appeared on YouTube. The sound of the test Jaguar becomes obvious that they are driven by different motors. In the sound of the first, the V8 is almost unmistakably guessed, but the second power unit, according to the autoexperts, can be four-cylinder.
Recall, last year, the brand hinted that as part of a partnership with the German company BMW, a car could acquire a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 made in Bavaria.
It is expected that the new Jaguar F-Type will fall on another “trolley” with aluminum construction. The architecture of the cabin will also change: the new car is designed for a four-seat cabin layout. Cars seen at the Nurburgring resemble the current generation of the model. There is an opinion that these prototypes speak only about the restyling, and not about the change of generations. Even if so, the changes are expected to be quite serious. Camouflage does not interfere with seeing a significantly redesigned front end of a car with new optics and another grille. Feed, in all likelihood, also changed markedly.
We will remind, earlier at the Nurburgring, we noticed a prototype of the updated crossover KIA Sorento 2021. The novelty debuts, most likely, only next year.
