New Isuzu MU-X showed on patent imagesSeptember 28, 2020
The large SUV received the previous update in 2017.
Isuzu is gradually updating its lineup. The D-Max pickup received a new version last year, and today patent images of the MU-X SUV were published. If you look at the body, it becomes clear that we are talking not just about restyling, but about a full generation change.
The biggest changes have taken place in the rear – now it looks like a classic cross, and not like a pickup with a kung. In the front part, we highlight the expressive radiator grill, as well as the fog lights, which are integrated into the bumper. In the side part, you can see the stampings at the bottom of the doors – a similar design is familiar from the latest generation of the Toyota RAV4 crossover. There is no official information on the technical characteristics of the car yet. However, it can be assumed that the engine range will consist of two diesel engines of 1.9 and 3.0 liters.
The output of the former will be 150 hp, while the latter is capable of developing 190 hp.
A powerful version of the motor first appeared on the updated D-Max in 2019. It can be said with almost certainty that the novelty will receive a rigidly connected all-wheel drive.
Earlier it became known that the Isuzu D-Max pickup can get a new version. It was not possible to find out the details from the representatives of the brand, however, the company tuned in to serious competition with its main rivals.
