New Ineos Grenadier SUV officially revealedJuly 1, 2020
Despite this, the new product is still in the testing phase.
British billionaire James Arthur Ratcliffe tried to buy the rights to the old Land Rover Defender, and when the attempt failed, he decided to create his own SUV, gathering a team of specialists.
The new Ineos Grenadier has a number of similarities with Defender, but it is an independent model, which was built from scratch. At the moment, the company is still continuing to test its model, but this did not stop the brand from presenting its model at an early stage.
As Dirk Heilman, CEO of Ineos Automotive, said, Ineos is “a new business creating a new brand, and we want to bring people with us on this fascinating journey.” Honestly, with such a simple, refreshing concept, it’s hard to argue.
To date, there is very little information about the model. Ineos designed and built the Grenadier from scratch as its own car, using austerity measures such as identical round headlights and taillights.
It is also designed to be easily customizable, and personalization is a key component. This applies to factory options, as well as third-party add-ons. To this end, the Grenadier is a purpose-built utility utility vehicle that, according to Ineos, has a clear, unambiguous purpose. The profile has rubber pads for protection. The rear is equipped with offset side doors, with a small door on the left for access to small items.
As for the cabin and the technical part, but now there is no information about them. A pair of bright tailpipes suggests that under the hood there will be at least modest power. There is no official sale date or expected price range.
