Back in July 2019, the Korean company introduced a hybrid version of the Sonata at the Seoul Motor Show. And now the model is seen on the roads of America before the start of sales. Apparently, the car is undergoing adaptation and testing.
In the near future, the United States will begin selling a new version of the Hyundai Sonata with a hybrid power plant. The brand positions the car as a spacious family sedan with an environmentally friendly engine and a power reserve function. A roof with solar panels is available as an option, providing about 1,300 km of power reserve per year from free energy.
Eyewitnesses managed to take four detailed photographs of the future news. Judging by them, the serial Sonata is almost identical to the concept demonstrated in Seoul. However, the exterior has received less chrome details, a more harmonious image. Another feature is the alloy wheels with aerodynamic design.
Special wheels increase the efficiency of the power plant, and also reduces fuel consumption. According to official information, gasoline consumption will be about 5.23 l / 100 km.
Hyundai press service has not yet made official announcements. Therefore, the configuration, specifications, as well as cost remain unknown. The standard version of the Hyundai Sonata starts at $ 23,400.
