New Hyundai i30 N Line: when there is not enough money for a hot hatchJuly 19, 2018
The company Hyundai is expanding the line of versions of the i30. The new modification will reach European dealers this summer.
The hatchback of the i30 N Line is now available in the N Line version, developed by the sports division of the Korean company Hyundai N. The novelty is a “light” version of the full-fledged hot-hatch i30 N, that is, the design is stylized like sport version, but the motors are got from the standard model.
Externally from the charged i30 N hatchback differs from the absence of red inserts on the bumpers. Also, the car of the N Line series has a slightly different radiator grille, and the spoiler installed on the tailgate has become smaller. In addition, the hatch in the version of “under the sport” – twin exhaust pipe system, while the i30 N spigots are spaced on the sides. Like the hot-hat, the five-door hatch in the new version of the shod in 18-inch disks, but they have a different design.
Salon i30 N Line is identical to the interior of the usual model, except that there appeared a sports steering wheel upholstered with a leather perforated leather and metal pedals. Armchairs with developed lateral support are available for a surcharge.
Meanwhile, only the décor in the development of the new version in the Hyundai N was still not limited: the model was retuned suspension, in front mounted increased brake discs (16 inches instead of 15 for the conventional model). Another i30 N Line received tires Michelin Pilot Sport 4.
In Europe, a hatchback is offered with a gas turbo four 1.4 T-GDI (140 hp) and a 1.6 CRDi turbodiesel (136 hp), both combined with a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed preselective robotic transmission. Like the usual model, i30 N Line with a gasoline engine will pick up the first 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds, with a diesel engine – for 10.2 seconds (characteristics for cars with 6-speed manual transmission).
Hot-hatch Hyundai i30 N is equipped with a petrol turbo engine 2.0 T-GDI and 6MKP. In the standard version, the engine power is 250 hp, with the Performance package – 275 hp. In the first case, the Korean accelerates from place to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds, in the second – in 6.1 seconds. The maximum speed is limited at 250 km/h (for petrol N Line maximum speed – 210 km / h, with diesel – 200 hp).
In Europe, Hyundai i30 N Line sales will start before the end of summer. In Germany, for example, a hatchback with 1.4 T-GDI costs from 24,550 euros, with 1.6 CRDi – from 27,160 euros. For comparison, the price of a 250-рз hot-hatch i30 N in this country starts from 29,700 euros, the model with the Performance package will cost at least 32,200 euros. Well, the usual Hyundai i30 in Germany costs from 17 450 euros.
