New Hongqi E115 SUV revealed without camouflageMay 12, 2020
The network has a batch of new pictures of luxury news from China.
A fresh batch of photos of the serial version of the Hongqi E115 electric SUV was published on Chinese social networks. And this time, the car is free from any camouflage.
Earlier we saw photographs of prototypes, one of which was disguised, while the other was practically “clean”. From the pictures you can see that the overall shape of the production model is largely identical to the concept car that debuted last year at the Guangzhou Motor Show.
Thus, the E115 will be equipped with a large false radiator grille, thin LED headlights and has the same elongated roof line with sharp C-pillars. One of the most noticeable differences is that although the concept had vertical design details right behind the front wheels, the production model instead has a horizontal ornament trimmed in red and chrome.
The rear also clearly resembles a concept with taillights of a similar shape and an LED panel extends between them. The tiny triangular LEDs on the rear door from the concept are not visible on the black prototype.
Hongqi introduced the E115 concept with tinted windows, hiding the model’s interior from the public. These spy images show that the interior of the novelty will be very technological. For example, there is a touch screen designed for climate control, a massive central infotainment system and a fully digital cluster of sensors. We can also see the split center console and seats, which seem to be covered in Alcantara.
The overall dimensions of the SUV according to Chinese media is 5160/2000/1730 mm, and the wheelbase is 3 250 mm. E115 will appear on the market with two electric motors, one on the front axle with a capacity of 215 hp. and 350 Nm, and the second rear – with a capacity of 295 hp and 420 Nm. The motors will be powered by a 92.4 kWh lithium battery. Acceleration to 100 km / h takes 4 seconds, and the range is up to 600 km.
