At the opening of the Tokyo Automobile Salon, a new version of the hatchback was presented. The company promises to begin selling in 2020, but only with an uncontested new hybrid.
Today, the opening of the Tokyo Automobile Salon took place, within the framework of which, traditionally, Japanese brands showed their main novelties. Honda has unveiled the new generation of the Jazz hatchback. The main feature of the car was a new hybrid system with the designation e: HEV. It is based on a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, paired with two electric motors. Details are still unknown. Power and fuel consumption are not reported.
Another update will be the electronic complex of safety and assistants Honda Sensing. Depending on the configuration, it will include adaptive cruise control with the possibility of autonomous traffic in traffic jams, an automatic emergency braking system, collision warning systems and many other modern complexes.
According to preliminary information, European sales will begin in the spring of 2020. Unfortunately, the novelty will not come to Russia. Honda Jazz left our market in 2013. However, the model is still very popular and finished 2018 with a result of 296,534 cars sold.
Cost has not yet been announced. Together with the standard hatchback, its cross-version with an increased ground clearance and an additional body kit will enter the market.
