New Genesis G80 sedan caught during tests
July 23, 2019Genesis is preparing to launch a new generation of its luxurious G80 sedan. Recently, a novelty was noticed near the Nurburgring.
The Genesis G80 Sedan is a relatively young model on the market, but this did not prevent the Hyundai premium subbrand from preparing the second generation of this luxury car. The appearance of new items is expected at the end of this year, but for now it is undergoing road tests. During one of them, organized near the Nurburgring, the updated sedan was hit by photo spies. The novelty has retained a modern design with the sophisticated elegance that appeared on the G70 that debuted earlier.
After a change of generations, the sedan will get a long hood, short overhangs and the back with an original teardrop trim. More to consider the novelty prevents camouflage.
It is known that the Genesis G80 2020 model year will remain without a V8 engine. However, this power unit still serves for the model G90. The engine lineup of the novelty will be represented by a 3.8-liter V6 and a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6. A hybrid version is also expected to enter the market. Already in September, the new Genesis G80 sedan will debut in the home market, after which it will begin to conquer other countries. According to forecasts of autoexperts, the cost of new products expected to grow, but not at all.
