New Generation Hyundai Creta debuts at Chengdu Motor ShowSeptember 5, 2019
With the change of generations, this model has radically changed. On sale in the Chinese car market, the novelty will appear this fall.
At the opening auto show in Chengdu, China, the world premiere of a new generation of Hyundai Creta serial compact cross-country was held. Recall that the inhabitants of China know this model under the name ix25. The new crossover has already got on the conveyor of the Chinese Hyundai plant, and the first salable cars will go to local dealers in October. The appearance of the next generation Creta / ix25 has much in common with the concept, which was presented back in the spring as part of the Shanghai Motor Show.
Such a cross receives a cascading grille, multi-level head optics, two-tiered taillights, interconnected by an LED brake light strip, as well as new bumpers. Inside, the car now has a modernized front panel with a huge vertical multimedia touchscreen in the spirit of the Tesla electric cars, a truncated snout, a digital dashboard and a rotary gear selector.
Also, with the change of generations, compact cross became 10 mm longer and wider – up to 4,300 and 1,790 mm, respectively, and its wheelbase added 20 mm – up to 1,610 mm.
The novelty is set in motion by an innovative one and a half liter “aspirated” with a capacity of 115 hp, combined with a 6-speed manual transmission or CVT variator. Also available for purchase will be available cross with a 1.4-liter turbo engine with a return of 140 hp, paired with a seven-speed “robot”. But the drive is a non-alternative front.
