New Ford Puma will be released this yearJanuary 23, 2020
Ford delivers the new Puma with two power options for the EcoBoost 1.0 gasoline engine.
The new Puma, now available as a crossover instead of a compact coupe like its predecessor, is available with two versions equipped with a 1.0 Ecoboost hybrid. Two variants of this three-cylinder engine develop 125 hp. and 155 hp And for lovers of more powerful compact cars there is good news – Puma ST will appear this year.
The Puma ST will be the most powerful variant of the Puma family and, therefore, will have a power of 200 hp. and a torque of 290 Nm in combination with an electric motor, which also gives the lighter Fiesta ST an “interest in life”, accelerating it to 100 km / h in 6.7 seconds. At Puma ST, of course, it will take a little more time to cover this distance.
The “charged” Puma received a more rigidly tuned chassis and the ability to switch to such driving modes as Normal, Sport and Track. A more powerful braking system, a coarser-sounding exhaust system, a more aggressive exterior and interior with sports seats and aluminum pedals are also part of the ST image.
We learn more about Puma ST in the third quarter of this year. Speaking of Puma, Ford mentioned the EcoBlue series of diesel engines.
