Ford will present the Focus of the new generation for the European market at a special event in April. The next car will have at least five different modifications
Ford continues road test of the new generation of Focus. Before that, the hatchback hit the photospies’ lens more than once, but now on the tests a sedan was seen in an unusual camouflage reminding a comic. Pictures of the car were published by Motor1.
The design of the novelty resembles the eponymous hatchback which has already been photographed without masking. The car will receive new LED headlights, as well as an enlarged trapezoidal radiator grille, which visually will turn out below the current one. There are still no photos of the saloon, however, most likely, the interior will be executed in the style of the Fiesta model of the new generation.
The novelty will use the Global C-car platform of the existing version. In this case, the wheelbase of the machine will increase by approximately 50 millimeters. The car itself will become lighter than the previous generation model by about 50 kilograms.
The engine range of the new Ford Focus will include a 1.5-liter three-cylinder supercharged unit. In addition, depending on the market will be available two-liter petrol engines, as well as diesel engines with a working volume of 1.5 and 2.0 liters. Transmission – a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission with two clutches.
Ford will present the Focus of the new generation for the European market at a special event in April, although it was previously assumed that the model will make its debut in March at the Geneva Motor Show. In addition to the sedan and hatchback and sedan, customers will be offered a station wagon, a luxury version of Vignale, a sports version of the ST-Line, and a little later there will be a charged version of ST and an all-terrain modification Active.
The model will be released for the North American market from the USA to China. From there the new Ford Focus will be supplied to a number of other countries.
