New Ford F-150 debuts in late JuneJune 1, 2020
The next generation F-150 is expected to use hybrid and battery motors.
2020 has become rather meager for major new products, but one of them will still be the debut of the new generation Ford F-150, which is scheduled for the end of the month. June 25, Ford will officially show the next-generation F-150. Mike Levine, Ford Communications Manager for North America, shared this news on Twitter today.
However, we already know a lot about the Ford F-150 2021 model year. On the one hand, the new truck will receive design features from the recently updated Ford F-Series Super Duty – a full-size radiator grill, hood and headlights that will look like those of large brand pickups. We also know that the upcoming F-150 will be created on a new platform, which implies the presence of a gasoline-electric power plant. Most likely, the hybrid version of the F-150 will not be ready for the start of sales, so we expect the model to debut with a gasoline and diesel V6 and at least one V8 variant.
The interior of the new items we previously saw in spy shots. Along with the all-digital instrument cluster, the Ford F-150 2021 will offer a large central screen for a multimedia system that looks better than the current generation F-150 display.
Ford is investing about $ 700 million in next-generation production at its plant in Dearborn, Michigan. Despite its age, the F Series remains the top-selling pickup and vehicle in the United States. The outgoing F-150 debuted in 2015. Upcoming gasoline and battery versions of the new F-150 should make it as revolutionary as the current truck almost half a century ago.
