New electric sedan Hyundai Ioniq 6 showed in the photoJuly 20, 2021
Today the first photos of the second all-electric model of the Korean brand – Hyundai IONIQ 6 sedan were published. This time we were shown the interior.
An image appeared on the Bobaedream forum showing the interior of the car, which is very similar to the cabin of the IONIQ 5, but a number of details, for example, the power window buttons, clearly indicate that this is the IONIQ 6.
As a reminder, according to Korean media reports, Hyundai plans to release the all-electric Ioniq 6 sedan in 2022 earlier than originally planned. Basically, the company wants to shorten the time after the launch of the Ioniq 5, which may go on sale in South Korea as early as next month. Thus, it is quite possible that the Ioniq 6 will go into series production before the end of this year.
Details about the Ioniq 6 are kept under wraps, but it is known that it will be built on the same dedicated electric vehicle platform called E-GMP (Electronic Global Modular Platform) as the Ioniq 5. In terms of design, the Ioniq 6 is essentially is the production version of the Prophecy concept, but a lot may change by the time of production. The four-door coupe may turn out to be something of a “poor man’s” Porsche Taycan.
Thanks to its architecture, the Ioniq 6 will be able to charge quickly, and the range can reach 700 km on a single charge. As with the Ioniq 5, the interior will be a so-called “smart living space” with a focus on driver and passenger comfort with features such as adjustable seats, ample space, and wireless connectivity. The all-digital displays will be enclosed in a simple yet elegant dashboard design.
Pricing remains unknown at this time, but the all-electric sedan is expected to have a higher price tag than the Ioniq 5, which is tentatively estimated to be around $ 40,000.
