New electric car Seat El-Born EV will enter the market in 2020July 25, 2019
SEAT announced that next year it will offer its second electric car to customers. The model, called the El-Born EV, was first shown at the Geneva Motor Show.
The Spanish automaker SEAT will soon be ready to offer customers a new electric car, the SEAT El-Born EV, which will become the second green car after Mii Electric. The basis for the novelty will be the same platform as in the future Volkswagen ID Hatch. Recall, this architecture was created specifically for cars with electric motors and is called universal. The announced power reserve here reaches 420 kilometers.
Also, the new electric car relies 204-strong electric motor and a battery of 62 kW / h. Up to 80 percent of such an electric car can be charged in just 47 minutes, and before the first 100 kph it will accelerate in 7.5 seconds.
El-Born gets a closed grille, stylish optics in the spirit of the latest models of the brand, as well as 20-inch wheels. The car’s interior turned out to be functional and simple: the 10-inch multimedia screen here is focused on the driver, and the dashboard has become completely digital. Among the features of the novelty can be called a roomy trunk (380 liters) and the presence of specially equipped storage spaces.
On the road, El-Born behaves according to the chosen driving scenario. Also, the manufacturer has equipped it with a parking function. In the UK, the Seat El-Born EV will cost from 25 to 30 thousand pounds sterling. Similar prices today have Nissan Leaf.
