New crossover Suzuki XL6 headed for the global car market
October 3, 2019The new three-row SUV Suzuki XL6 will get out of India. The brand management is building such plans, hoping to significantly expand the sales geography of its model. The first country where XL6 appears will be South Africa.
Indian motorists have known the Suzuki XL6 since August of this year. This crossover, an off-road version of the bestselling Suzuki Ertiga, immediately sparked a rush. The novelty differed from its “donor” in a differently designed front part of the body, a modified rear bumper, a plastic body kit with wheel arch extensions, etc. In length, such a car reaches 4,445 mm, and its ground clearance is 180 mm.
The cross-drive is driven by a one and a half liter 105-horsepower aspirator with an auxiliary starter generator of 48 volts. As a pair for the motor, the manufacturer offers 5-speed manual transmission or 4-speed automatic transmission. But the drive is only front-wheel drive.
Already the base Suzuki XL6 receives ABS and ESP, two airbags, cruise control, a frontal collision avoidance system, multimedia with a seven-inch screen and much more. Additionally, you can “buy” a rear view camera, rain and light sensors and a leather interior. Inside the car there are separate “captain” seats of the second row, each of which boasts its own armrest.
