New crossover Haval DaGou breaks sales recordsOctober 30, 2020
Sales of the brutal crossover Haval DaGou started in China on September 28, and in just three days the brand’s dealers were able to sell more than 3,000 of these cars.
Recall that the Haval DaGou crossover, whose name translates from Chinese as “Big Dog”, was presented this year at the Chengdu Auto Show (China). DaGou is a crossover with a monocoque body, multi-link rear suspension and a transverse engine layout. The length, width and height of DaGou are 4,620, 1,890 and 1,780 mm, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,738 mm.
In terms of chassis, the model is unified with the new generation Haval H6. But the body of DaGou is completely original – the car has a high roof, a long hood, brutal design and a spacious interior. By the way, the exterior of the car was created under the leadership of Phil Simmons, a former Jaguar Land Rover specialist.
Haval DaGou is equipped with 1.5 and 2.0 liter petrol turbo engines with 169 and 196 hp. respectively. The car has an all-wheel drive transmission with the ability to lock the rear differential. There is a function of setting the driving modes with six presets – economy, standard, sports, sand, mud, snow.
In the cabin, attention is drawn to the wide center console, vertical ventilation deflectors and the digital instrument cluster and media system combined into one visual element.
The Haval DaGou crossover is still on sale only in China, but next year the model may appear on the Russian market. The cost of the basic configuration in China is from 119,900 yuan. For the top version, dealers ask 142,900 yuan
