New cross Ford Kuga officially introducedApril 3, 2019
The company decided not to wait for any high-profile events or international auto shows, but simply introduced a new generation of model. The car has received significant processing: it became easier, safer and more technological.
A new generation of Ford Kuga officially presented the press service of the company without too much pomp. The car replaced the platform with an enlarged “cart” from the fourth generation Focus’a. Thanks to this, the crossover has become tougher, more spacious in the cabin and more overall (length – +44 mm; wheelbase – +20 mm). The company also claims that the amount of luggage has increased significantly, although accurate data has not yet been provided.
The design of the novelty fully complies with the modern style of the company, which has already been demonstrated on the new “tricks” and “fiestas”. Similarly, the company acted with the interior design. The only noticeable change is an advanced multimedia system with a large display, which has taken over some of the functions of managing car systems. This allowed to remove a significant part of the physical buttons.
As a power unit is offered a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine that can develop up to 120 and 150 horsepower, depending on the modification. Also available is a turbo diesel version with a 1.5- and 2.0-liter engine, developing up to 120 and 180 forces, respectively. Together with them works manual on six steps or “automatic” at eight speeds.
