New Cadillac Escalade will receive a massive grilleOctober 4, 2019
The American SUV was spotted by photo spies during tests.
New spy photos finally reveal more information about the new Cadillac Escalade SUV, in particular about its grille. For previous test mules, the grill was completely closed, but in our recent shots the grill is open and looks massive.
The new Escalade will receive a grille that occupies most of the front of the SUV. It seems that the grille reaches for the headlights a few inches, but it is still closed. The grill design follows the design presented on the Cadillac XT4 and Cadillac CT5.
Powertrains are likely to be upgraded as well. However, it is possible that the 6.2-liter V8 will remain the base engine, and a hybrid model may also appear. According to rumors, the new product can be equipped with a 4.0-liter Blackwing V8 Cadillac with twin turbochargers.
As an option, the SUV can get the Cadillac Super Cruise automatic cruise control system and a partially autonomous driving system. In addition, the novelty can be equipped with a massive monitor of the infotainment complex.
Cadillac Escalade needs a design update inside and out. Lincoln has made significant strides by rebuilding itself as a luxury brand, while other luxury car manufacturers are updating and showing off large three-row SUVs. The 2021 Cadillac Escalade will be unveiled next year.
