New BMW M3 appeared on official teasersSeptember 19, 2020
The press office of the Bavarian automaker has released several teaser photos showing an updated version of the high-performance BMW M3 sedan. The new BMW M3 will be presented next Wednesday, September 23rd.
BMW will unveil the “charged” M3 next Wednesday, September 23rd. Countless spy photos have given us a good idea of its design, but the new official teaser images give us the clearest picture of the front of the car. Visible through the green smoke is a large false radiator grille surrounded by unique headlights and a bright green body.
However, the four teaser images show nothing more.
Two of them give a glimpse of the front end, showing a slightly wrinkled bonnet, black grille and splitter that should come from the more powerful Competition. The second pair of images is a close-up of the visible bulge on the M3’s bonnet – the bulge extends from the top of the radiator grille to the bonnet.
Under the bonnet of the new M3 should be BMW’s 3.0-liter inline-six, twin-turbocharged engine. The regular M3 will get 473 horsepower, while the Competition version will boast 503 horsepower. The M3 will be available with either a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed gearbox. However, the Competition model will only be available with an “automatic”.
Previous rumors suggested that the new M3 will appear in Isle of Man Green. In the earlier teaser, the color appeared darker than in the latest images, but it could be a play of light. The start of sales of the BMW M3 sedan is scheduled for next year.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that BMW has prepared its first “hot” front-wheel drive hatchback. BMW Corporation announced that it has completed testing a new sports variation of the 1-Series model with the index 128ti (“Turismo Internazionale”).
