New BMW iX3 Unveiled Ahead of DebutJuly 14, 2020
The full debut video of the electric crossover turned out to be freely available on the network.
On the net, they found a one-minute video in which the appearance of the new BMW iX3, not yet presented, is fully revealed. Judging by the video, its electric version differs slightly from the usual BMW X3 – a radiator grill, a rear bumper and several new air intakes in the front bumper.
The novelty is designed to compete directly with models such as the Volvo XC40 Recharge P8, Mercedes EQC and Audi e-Tron. At the same time, according to the manufacturer, the BMW iX3 will surpass all competitors in terms of range, which will be 435 kilometers from a single charge. One way or another, but the novelty really differs from the others, at least in that it is not a specially designed electric car, but a model built on the basis of an existing car.
The basic version of the BMW iX3 will be equipped with one electric motor for 266 hp, so if the Bavarians want to make the car faster, they will simply add another electric motor and get more than 500 forces. According to preliminary data, the electric car will receive a quick 150-watt charging system that can fill the battery by 80% in less than 30 minutes. Production of the BMW iX3 will begin at the end of this summer at a factory in China. And the first customers will be able to get their electric cars at the end of this year.
