Carscoops has shared spy photos of the redesigned BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe concept.

The new 4-Series Gran Coupe, like the standard model, will receive a characteristic front part and an overall radiator grille, framed by thin headlights. Although the front end will move from the base 4-Series, the Gran Coupe model will get a more practical 5-door body, a fast-moving look and a sloping roof, and a smaller trunk.

As for the stern of the novelty, here you can see thin lanterns, a modified bumper and two exhaust pipes, as well as a lifting door should appear here, which will make the process of loading luggage easier. Although there are no pictures of the interior of the upcoming car yet, it can be assumed that its updated model will also borrow from the standard car, that is, here you can expect the installation of an 8.8-inch screen of the multimedia system and a 5.1-inch dashboard. In addition, for a surcharge, you can order a 12.3-inch dashboard and a 10.25-inch display of the infotainment complex.

According to assumptions, the novelty will borrow the engine range from the standard 4-Series, including a 255-horsepower (400 Nm) 2.0-liter turbo engine, which allows the base model to accelerate to 96 km / h in 5.5 seconds. The new model will also be available in the M440i variant with a 3.0-liter turbo engine producing 382 hp. (494 Nm), working together with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. At the same time, it is quite possible that in the future the 4-Series Gran Coupe family will be replenished with an “infected” M version and hybrid modifications.

In addition, the date of the premiere of the electric crossover BMW iX has recently become known. It should be emphasized that this new model of the German company will be able to cover a distance of 400 to 600 km on a single charge according to the WLTP standard.
