New BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe Coupe gets M Performance parts accessoriesOctober 16, 2019
The Bavarian company has introduced a range of accessories for its new 4-door coupe, the 2-Series Gran Coupe. Sales will start next month. A variety of elements will be available to customers, complementing the interior / exterior of the car, as well as a more efficient brake system.
Just a few hours after the 2-Series 4-door coupe was officially shown (this version of the model is designated Gran Coupe), BMW now presents an extensive range of M Performance Parts accessories for those who want to make the car more stylish. The version of M235i presented here just shows what can be ordered from the new optional “package” – exterior and interior elements are available.
In addition to changing the external and internal appearance of the Bavarian car, the M Performance brake system with a lightweight design and internal ventilation is also offered for the 2-Series Gran Coupe. According to the representatives of the company, they provide excellent braking power. New brakes are hidden behind the optional 18- or 19-inch wheels, which in turn received a different design with a matte finish Jet Black or a two-tone theme.
To highlight your 2-Series Gran Coupe, there are many accessories – from the shiny decorative grille on the front to the glossy black spoiler at the back.
The carbon fiber side mirror housings are also part of the M Performance catalog, along with fancy round tailpipes made from stainless steel.
If you spend a little more money, you can buy an M Performance steering wheel in the interior, covered in Alcantara with silver-gray stitching and carbon-coated knitting needles. The latter can also be covered with a gearshift switch on models equipped with either a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission or an eight-speed Steptronic gearbox.
In general, there are a lot of opportunities to personalize your version of the 4-door coupe – you can order everything from rugs to LED projectors installed on the doors, and even tire bags. Accessories from the M Performance catalog will be available for purchase next month.
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that BMW officially introduced the new 2-Series Gran Coupe. A compact four-door coupe with a stylish body will be the main competitor for the new Mercedes-Benz CLA. The platform from the BMW 1-Series was used as the basis, therefore, the architecture and interior design were inherited from it.
