New BMW 2 Series Active Tourer spotted again in testsNovember 27, 2020
The newest car BMW 2 Series Active Tourer is gradually losing camouflage and received serial headlights.
The 2 Series Active Tourer may not be BMW’s most popular car, but it sells well in Europe. That’s why the company has begun developing a new generation, and new spy photos show that the automaker is finally making some serious headway.
Previously, prototypes have already hit the lenses of photo spies, but this time the car has serial headlights. The headlights seem to be inspired by the latest 3- and 4-Series, and the good news is that the grille is relatively normal in size, slightly larger than the outgoing model.
At the rear, the overall layout seems very familiar, but the new taillights with large LED strips give the illusion of a wider vehicle. The exact design of the bumper is currently not visible, but the changes should give the new Active Tourer a more imposing appearance.
Previous spy photos have already confirmed that BMW will slightly alter the proportions of the car and bring in many elements for a sportier and cleaner look.
Based on the UKL platform, the new 2-Series Active Tourer will receive a range of engines from the 1-Series: three-cylinder turbocharged petrol and diesel units, as well as a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
