New Bentley Continental GT Convertible tested in winter conditionsFebruary 16, 2018
Photo-shooters managed to shoot a sports car Continental GT of a new generation with an open top. Spy pictures of cars were laid out by the publication Motor1. The premiere of the car should take place in the near future.
With the exception of the soft roof, the Convertible Continental GT looks like it will repeat the coupe of the same name. The design of the novelty will receive features of the concept Bentley’s EXP 10 Speed 6, which was presented in 2015 at the Geneva Motor Show. The car will get a new bumper, another hood, massive wheel arches, a modified optics and a new exhaust system with large spigots.
The novelty will be built on the modular MSB platform. The car will receive a 6.0-liter petrol engine W12. The unit’s capacity is 626 horsepower. However, the acceleration to 100 km/h in the gig will take longer than the coupe (3.7 seconds). In the future, a hybrid modification is expected.
The standard coupe Bentley Continental GT new generation debuted in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The model shared the platform with the second-generation Porsche Panamera. The basis of the car was the modular MSB platform of the Volkswagen concern with longitudinal engine arrangement. The coupe also received a fully aluminum body, so the novelty became lighter than its predecessor by 80 kilograms.
