The flagship variants of the cars fought in the quarter-mile races, competed in acceleration on the move in various modes, and experts also evaluated the braking efficiency from 113 km / h.
The current Bentley Flying Spur has a 635 hp W12 power unit. (900 Nm). The engine works in conjunction with a preselective 8-band robotic transmission and all-wheel drive system.
In turn, the new Audi S8 is equipped with a 4.0-liter 8-cylinder turbo engine with 571 hp. (800 Nm). Together with this engine, an 8-speed automatic transmission and a quattro all-wheel drive system work.
Note that at a distance of 402 meters, the cars were separated by less than 0.1 seconds, and the winner had to be determined thanks to the photo finish. The results of measurements of brake efficiency were distinguished by the same density.
In addition, quite recently, the authors of the Carwow channel staged a racing race, in which cars such as the Hyundai i30 N, Ford Focus ST and Honda Civic Type R took part. For example, 5-door hatchbacks from Korea, the USA and Japan competed on drag.
