Inkas company presented an armored version of the SUV
Canadian company Inkas, specializing in the construction of armored vehicles, has introduced a protected version of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 new generation. The SUV received full protection of the passenger compartment, reinforced suspension and laminated bullet-proof glass.
The armored Mercedes-AMG G 63 is able to withstand shots from automatic weapons with 7.62 x 51 caliber bullets from a distance of 10 meters at an impact speed of 820 meters per second, as well as simultaneously undermining two hand grenades under the bottom. Protection complies with CEN 1063 BR6. An innovative composite is used for amplification, which is lighter than traditional armored panels.
The standard equipment of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 includes protection of the passenger compartment, battery and control unit, as well as a reinforced suspension and Run-flat tires. In the list of options: a lightweight booking option, fire extinguishing system, special signals and a more powerful brake system.
Under the hood, the Mercedes-AMG G 63 is fitted with a four-liter biturbo “eight” with a system for shutting down four cylinders under light loads. It produces 585 horsepower and 850 Nm of maximum torque. From zero to one hundred kilometers per hour, an ordinary SUV accelerates in 4.5 seconds, and Inkas says that the result of the armored version is not much different. The maximum speed is 220 kilometers per hour.
Armored Mercedes AMG G63 will cost at least 295 thousand dollars
