The famous tuning company Alpina from the German city of Buchloe presented the B5 BI-Turbo Touring model of the new generation. The car is based on the fresh generation of the BMW 5 Series station wagon in the body of the G30. Under the hood of the new Alpina B5 BI-Turbo Touring is a 4.4-liter V8 engine with a twin turbocharger from the M550i version. Engine power after completion of the specialists of the company Alpina increased to 608 horsepower. This is more than the new M5. An eight-speed automatic gearbox aggregates with the engine.
The dynamic characteristics of the B5 BI-Turbo Touring are quite impressive. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is 3.4 seconds, and the maximum speed is 322 km/h. Previous record holder Mercedes-AMG E 63 S Estate, these figures were 3.4 seconds and 290 km/h, respectively.
