New advertising from Chevy has displeased customersJanuary 13, 2019
“Real people, not actors”, these are the main words in the new commercial of the American brand Chevrolet.
The Consumer Protection Organization of Massachusetts (USA) is calling on Chevrolet to stop broadcasting its latest promotional video entitled “Real People, Not Actors.” In the new advertising campaign, which was published on the automaker’s official Youtube channel on January 1, 2019 and broadcast on television this month, Ford, Toyota and Honda owners are asked which brand they consider to be the most reliable. And they all said that, of course, Chevy is not the most reliable of them.
However, according to US consumer rights advocates, the new television advertising is misleading all motorists, as the small print in the video reads: “The survey was based on vehicles of the 2015 model year.
Information about the study can be found at ChevyReliability.com. ” The problem is that the latest versions of the Equinox, Silverado, Traverse and Malibu models are shown in advertising – all four cars have received significant updates since 2015.
According to the foreign edition of Automotive News, the poll, which Chevy ad refers to, has been conducted in the last 12 months. In their defense, Chevrolet representatives said that the brand “will continue to continue to advertise.”
According to Automotive News, another survey of US motorists showed that Chevrolet ranked 23rd among 29 car brands – an updated version of the Traverse full-size crossover is “much worse than the average in this class of car”.
Not so long ago, we wrote that the Chevrolet company decided to return the name Trailblazer, under which a rather decent SUV had previously been produced.
