Naran Hyper Coupe or exclusive 1062 hp hypercarNovember 26, 2020
Only 49 examples of the hypercar from the British brand Naran Automotive will be released, and buyers can even change the model name to their own. The novelty is based on the Bavarian BMW 8 Series coupe.
Here’s another automotive startup that aims to create an exceptionally niche subcompact hypercar with crazy amounts of power. A couple of minutes ago, the British company Naran Automotive announced a new product, figuratively named Naran. According to the representatives of the startup, their hypercar is slightly different from other similar offers on the market.
Firstly, this car is powered by a good old internal combustion engine and has no electrification, unlike its competitors.
The Naran is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 gasoline engine located in front of the driver, although it sits far enough in the back to be considered a front- and mid-engined design. Naran Automotive says the engine is custom-built by Racing Dynamics and uses two turbochargers to generate a claimed 1,062 horsepower. The hypercar is equipped with an all-wheel drive system, the car spends less than three seconds to accelerate to 100 km / h, and the maximum speed will be 370.07 km / h.
However, according to representatives of Naran Automotive, high power is not the only advantage of their hypercar. The car is designed to offer the driver and passengers a good degree of comfort. For this, the suspension, inspired by motorsport, is built on double wishbones and has adjustable elements. Instead of the electric power steering, a racing hydraulic system is installed. There are also carbon ceramic brakes. The aerodynamic body kit Naran creates at least 1,377 kg of downforce – thanks to this, the car must maintain perfect handling even at high speeds.
Naran Automotive’s lead designer is Jovyn Wong, the same person who was responsible for the exclusive Apollo IE and De Tomaso P72. In terms of mechanics, the Naran hypercar is based on the BMW 8 Series coupe.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that the cost of the fastest hypercar Hongqi S9 PHEV was declassified. According to preliminary data, the price of the new item will be 25% less than the original estimate. The hypercar is able to overtake the Bugatti Chiron.
