Named the most popular cars in EuropeOctober 25, 2019
The first place in September with a wide margin from its closest competitors is the legendary Volkswagen Golf hatchback. But the title of the most popular electric car among Europeans was awarded the Tesla model.
The research company JATO Dynamics studied the automotive preferences of Europeans and compiled the TOP of the most popular cars of the Old World. The German Golf Volkswagen hatchback opens the rating, which in September sold 32,398 cars and retained the title of best of the best. The second is the Opel / Vauxhall Corsa with a result of 28,453 copies (growth in demand by 15 percent), and Renault Clio closes the first “three”, in favor of which 24,895 buyers made the choice. This model also managed to increase its European sales – a “plus” of 13.4%.
Experts gave fourth place to the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class, which sold 22,540 units (+ 27.4%) last month. The last free spot in the TOP 5 goes to Ford Fiesta, whose sales last month reached 22,236 cars (-1.1%).
The second “five” with the result of 21,544 copies is opened by Ford Focus (+ 71.5%), followed by Nissan Qashqai (19,748 cars), Toyota Yaris (17,795 units), Citroen C3 (17,757 deals) and Renault Captur (17,722 cars). But Tesla Model 3, in the team event, received only 11th line, is the leader in the niche of electric cars.
