At the end of this month, Ferrari will present the second of five models, the presentation of which is scheduled for this year. The novelty will be located on the top of the current line and “will offer customers an exquisite design combined with the dynamics of a supercar.”
About the release of the new flagship model during a conference call in the first quarter of 2019, said the current head of the brand Louis Cary Camilleri. According to him, it will be a hybrid, which will be located above the 812 Superfast. The car will not be a replacement for the 488, but will be a completely independent model.
LaFerrari became the first serial Ferrari with a hybrid power plant. Hypercar equipped with a 6.3-liter V12 engine (800 hp) and a 163-horsepower electric motor.
According to rumors, the new supercar will be equipped with a petrol-electric power unit based on a twin-turbo V6. Its return will be 733 horsepower and 1085 Nm of torque (according to other information, the basis of the power plant will be 3.9 V8 from 488 Pista). For comparison: the 812 Superfast has a 6.5-liter atmospheric V12 under the hood, giving out 800 power and 718 Nm of torque. From zero to 100 km/h the coupe accelerates in 2.9 seconds, and its maximum speed is 340 kilometers per hour.
The first new Ferrari of this year was the F8 Tributo – the successor to the 488 GTB. The supercar received a 3.9-liter V8 with two turbochargers (720 horsepower and 770 Nm of torque) from 488 Pista, an aerodynamic body kit in the style of Ferrari racing and an updated Side Slip Angle Control system that helps control the car in a drift.
