Premieres of the new generation BMW 3-Series Touring will be held at the Geneva Motor Show next March
BMW has begun road testing of the versatile 3-Series new generation. Spy photos of the new items were posted by Carscoops. According to them, the premiere car will be held at the Geneva Motor Show in March next year.
The wagon engine line-up borrows from the sedan of the same name. It will include new four-cylinder two-liter supercharged units developing 184 (version 320i) and 258 hp. (version 330i). The diesel range is represented by a two-liter engine capacity of 150 (318d) and 190 hp. (320d), as well as a 265-horsepower three-liter six-cylinder unit (330d).
The novelty will receive an eight-speed automatic transmission, dynamic cruise control, the Start / Stop function, a switch for driving modes and an alarm for emergency approach when parked. Later, the M Sport package will be available for the car, which includes a sports suspension and M Sport brakes. Also, the sedan was equipped with an automatic three-zone climate control and an audio system with 6 speakers.
The premiere of the new BMW of the third series took place on October 2 at the Paris Motor Show. Sedan was the first model of the brand with “smart” shock absorbers. The length of the car was 4709 mm, width – 1827 mm, and height – 1442 mm, which is 85 mm longer, 16 mm wider, and 1 mm higher than its predecessor. The size of the wheelbase has increased by 41 mm – up to 2851 millimeters.
