Named hybrid Hybrid Renault Clio and Captur pricesMay 28, 2020
Renault has published a price list and specifications for new modifications to the Clio hatchback and the Captur crossover, which were introduced in early 2020. Models are the first of the latest series of electrified cars of the brand.
The updated Clio, which debuted last year with traditional gasoline and diesel engines, received a hybrid version. Renault claims that technology is protected by approximately 150 patents. The novelty has already gone on sale at a price of 19,595 pounds in the Play configuration to 22,095 pounds in the top version Launch Edition, available at the start of sales.
The car received a multi-mode automatic transmission, used to control a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter gasoline engine and two electric motors simultaneously or independently, together with a high-voltage starting generator. The battery is relatively small – 1.2 kW. The mass of this hatchback is only 10 kg more than that of the diesel Clio.
The total power of the Clio Hybrid is 138 hp. This allows you to accelerate to 100 km / h in 9.9 s.
The Captur Plug-In Hybrid crossover, as the name implies, uses a 9.8 kW battery that is charged from the network to power the same 1.6-liter engine with two electric motors. In this case, the output of the power plants is 158 hp. The hybrid competitor Mini Countryman Cooper S E costs from 30,495 pounds in the S Edition.
