The American supercar Chevrolet Corvette, the new generation Hyundai Sonata sedan, and the revived Toyota Supra sports car will compete for the title of the best car
The organizers of the competition “North American Car, SUV and Pickup of the Year” (NACTOY) named the finalists of the award. In total, nine cars were on the list announced at the Los Angeles motor show.
The American supercar Chevrolet Corvette, the new generation Hyundai Sonata sedan, and the revived Toyota Supra sports car will compete for the title of the best car. Hyundai Palisade, Kia Telluride and Lincoln Aviator claim the title of SUV and crossover of the year. Finally, Ford Ranger, Jeep Gladiator and Ram Heavy Duty were among the finalists among the pickups.
The winners in each category will be selected by a jury of 50 American and Canadian automotive journalists. The results will be announced on January 13, 2020 at a special event in Detroit.
Last year’s winner among the passenger cars was the Genesis G70 sedan. The Hyundai Kona compact crossover, including its all-electric modification, was called the best utilitarian car. The pickup of the year was the new Chevrolet Silverado 1500, bypassing the GMC Sierra 1500 and Ram 1500.
