MV Agusta will release four low-cubic models for ChinaJuly 26, 2019
Recently, we wrote that Harley-Davidson is going to the Asian market. Now MV Agusta decided to take this step, announcing cooperation with the Chinese company Loncin Motor.
Asia, in particular China and India, is the largest motor market in the world, and it is not surprising that many manufacturers are trying to establish contact with the local companies for the production of small volume motorcycles. The plans of the Italians by 2021 to release four models of 350-500-cc motorcycles with the emblem MV. They will be positioned as small premium bikes, created from scratch, not based on existing MV Agusta models.
Accordingly, in partnership with Loncin, small-scale MVs will be produced in China. This will allow the Italian company to quickly and efficiently develop its production capacity, which it cannot achieve at its facilities in Varese.
Until now, MV Agusta was not a mass producer, but this will change with the new joint venture. But that’s not all. Loncin is going to use the design of the Italians and develop a line of high-performance bikes for their brand Voge. Partner hopes to turn Voge into the leading premium brand of motorcycles in China.
