Mountune finalizes engine Ford Fiesta STFebruary 22, 2020
Mountune has developed the m235 update, which increases the power of a standard motor to 235 hp. for 575 pounds
Last year, the British tuner released the m225 power pack for the Ford Fiesta ST, bringing the 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder turbocharged engine to 225 horsepower. and torque of 340 Nm. At the same time, the tuner also increased peak torque by another 10 Nm compared to the m225 kit to 350 Nm. Added power and torque have a positive effect on the performance of the Fiesta ST, although Mountune does not disclose dynamic performance.
However, the company claims that the m235 package maximizes the potential of the 1.5-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine, distributing power and torque gains over most of the rev range. Calibration includes optimization of shifting without lifting, which is said to facilitate smooth and accurate gear shifting. Combined with an improved exhaust emission rating, this will create an “optimal driving experience”.
As with m225, customers can install Mountune’s new m235 update from the comfort of their home using mTune SMARTflash. All they need to do is install the application on their smartphone and connect the included Bluetooth OBD interface. SMARTflash also allows users to choose between different calibrations, as well as update their vehicle with the latest calibrations directly from Mountune. This particular update includes three different calibration levels.
The first is called the m235 Performance, and it adds a more aggressive launch control strategy and improved exhaust sound power in Sport / Track modes; Stock Performance is the second, and it returns the car to its standard configuration; finally, Anti-Theft completely immobilizes the car.
