Motor Show in Detroit can be moved in timeMarch 4, 2018
The North American international auto show in Detroit has traditionally been held in January for decades. However, it seems that the organizers of the show are considering the transition to autumn.
The international auto show in Detroit (NAIAS) can be postponed to October after 2019. This is reported by the resource Crain’s Detroit, with reference to the representative of the organizers of the event, Max Mansi. So far, only the possibility of transfer is being considered. No official statements have been made.
As is known, annually in the second decade of January in Las Vegas in the US is the international exhibition of consumer electronics CES. Usually less than a week starts the car dealership in Detroit. The organizers of the latter because of this docking are now thinking about postponing the conduct.
For the motor show, the main task is to meet the needs of the brands that participate in the exhibition. Those of them who can participate in both exhibitions, want their distribution in time. At the moment the NAIAS organizing committee is already holding negotiations with key participants.
The choice of October seems also contradictory. This month, the Paris and Frankfurt motor shows are held in Europe, changing in turn for even and odd years.
In 2019, the changes will not exactly happen. CES 2019 will be held in Las Vegas from 9 to 12 January. The Detroit exhibition is scheduled for January 14 – 27.
Earlier it became officially known that the brand Mercedes-Benz will miss the auto show in Detroit in January 2019.
