Morgan showed the anniversary version of Plus 4January 16, 2020
The British automaker has announced a special version of the sports car Plus 4, which is dedicated to the 70-year history of the model. In total, 20 copies of the news will be collected.
Changes are coming for the British manufacturer of exclusive sports cars – Morgan. The brand plans to phase out its old steel chassis. It is worth noting that the current platform in question has been used as the basis for all models of the brand for a very, very long time, Morgan Plus 4 is also built on it.
This year, the last is 70 years old. To mark both the anniversary of the model and the release of the latest cars on a steel chassis, Morgan announced the anniversary edition Plus 4, which received the designation 70th Anniversary Edition.
The machine boasts elements of gold and platinum.
Of course, we are talking about paint, not about using real precious metals. The body will be made in bright platinum metallic. Plus 4 70th Anniversary Edition also has contrasting black exterior accents, some bodywork elements that were present on the Morgan racing cars, and a set of rims in dark gray satin “wire”.
Inside, Plus 4 is worth noting specially embroidered headrests covered in leather. Special dark gray carpet and steering wheel are created manually for the anniversary version of the model. There are also performance improvements in the form of a new engine tuning and the presence of a sports exhaust system, which ultimately increases the car’s power to 180 horsepower. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h will now take less than seven seconds.
Each car of the anniversary series will also receive a numbered plate indicating the exclusivity of the series. A total of 20 copies of the 70th Anniversary Edition will be collected, with a starting price of £ 60,995 each.
